Friday November 11th was the graduation ceremonies for the 6th Monroe County Recruit Training Program. This training program was created out of necessity when Covid-19 Pandemic caused the shut down of the New York State Fire Academy program midway through a recruit class. Now with 6 recruit classes under our belt, the local Fire Districts in Monroe County, continue to improve on our local program and we all have benefited from the collective efforts of our local Fire Districts with the cadre of instructors. This current class was support by the Barnard District with the instructors assigned from Barnard to the entire academy program, which included Assistant Chief Dorgan, Lieutenant Sean McKenna and FF Hlebowicz.
Friday's graduation ceremony concluded the 12 week program for 2 of our newest career Fire Fighters; Congratulations to FF Sladden and FF Hoffman on a job well done. We look forward to a long and successful career with both of you.
