Last Thursday afternoon, Barnard Fire Fighters Captain Justin DeWaal and Past Chief and Commissioner John Norris were traveling with the Barnard utility van to Old Forge, for a weekend training seminar. While enroute they came across a motor vehicle accident involving a motorcycle. As the first unit on scene, the Barnard crew assisted with patient care, CPR and traffic control, until arrival of the ambulance and Volunteer Fire Company of Western.
Unfortunately the single victim of the crash succombed to his injuries. Thank you to both Fire Fighters for jumping into action when needed.
