The dust has settled, the tents are put away and the beer trailer smells of stale beer, all signs that the carnival season is over! The 2010 Barnard Carnival was a huge success on many levels. The weather cooperated, the volunteer and community support was outstanding, and the family atmosphere was bustling due to the cooperation and collaboration with the Greece Police.
Tradition was flourishing with the Parade on Wednesday night; the food continues to be a hot item and the games of chance was rolling. Tradition starts with family and our carnival’s backbone is on family tradition and fun. This could not be achieved unless the fire department had the support of our families and the community that we serve.
The Barnard Fire Department takes pride in serving the residents of our fire district by responding to emergency situations, having community events that breathe family and fun, and being there to support our residents in any way.
On behalf of all our members we say Thank You to the community that supports and say Thank You for making our 2010 carnival a success!
Next year the tradition and fun still remain with the 2011 Carnival running June 22, 23, 24,& 25 and the parade on Wednesday June 22. Come back to see us and experience the family tradition that is the glue to our pride and heritage of the Barnard Fire Department! |
